Women’s Beginner Tennis League

If you are a woman that wants to hone your Tennis skills, then this event is for you. The Richmond Hill Area Tennis Association is hosting a 4-week summer league.
Wednesday evenings at 6 pm starting July 5th at DeVaul Henderson Courts.
Registration ends Sunday, July 2nd at 8:00 PM
Requirements:
- USTA *Levels 2.0 & 2.5
- Women 18+
Are you the team captain or interested in being the team captain?
- There will be a captains meeting on June 28th, 6:00 PM at DHC. You must attend this meeting or have someone from your team available to attend.
Don’t have a specific team to join? We will place you on a team!
This league is for NEW beginners only. It is not a sanctioned USTA league but supplemental training to get players more comfortable with gameplay and scoring so that they feel confident to join a sanctioned league in the fall! A RHATA board member with be on the courts assisting participants with the scoring, game play, and rules.
*Level: 2.0 or 2.5
- 2.0 – You lack court experience, and your strokes need to develop. You are familiar with the basic positions for singles and doubles play.
- 2.5 – You are learning to judge where the ball is going, although your court coverage is limited. You can sustain a short rally at a slow pace with other players of the same ability.
